so long, J Y

whoopee always sounds really outdated and corny. but it's fitting.

W H O O P T Y D O O !  junior year was good but it's soon to be OVER.  being at bryn mawr just keeps making more and more sense.  but then, it's been a tough year -trying to be a leader on my own at times, not remembering to keep in touch with family at times, not thanking God for my health and sanity and salvation. i'm starting to say goodbye to some senior friends, and starting to imagine life after college. i can see why people say it can be such a special time of yourlife.

i'm very excited that classes are over. even though i've been moody, it's so much easier to enjoy the day with all this sun on campus. bryn mawr's super pretty and gardenish in the spring. if you're taking a road trip any time soon, visit Bryn Mawr!  i can feed you, too.

sing sing sing

today, I get to teach my friends from Swarthmore, Haverford, and Bryn Mawr a song in Korean! we sang it at the urbana missions conference, and i'm discovering that this is a way to share a bit of my Christian heritage as a Korean American. i grew up singing this song, knowing the hand motions, and watching older brothers and sisters worship God with this song.

tim got me a nano ipod. and i just got the songs from my cd collection on it. it's workin great! thanks, obba. la lu.

it's the weekend. whoop

alleluia alle alle alle

I'm encouraged.
How on earth do we go on without hope? just heard about how my friend (who is bound for Turkey with her family) has been putting her hope in Christ, while her husband is recovering in health.  Their plans are changed, but God's?  Bless her for that update.

My pic is so serious. I know. I'll change it when i get to school. but I'm too cool for that just now- yep yep yep. I just know I'll be ready for school when it comes. Right now is somethign else.

I've been observing my elementary school, in Port. It's been carazy seeing how much doesn't change in 9 years. For some reason, I expected the entire staff to have changed! haha. I played violin with Mrs. Dunaj's lesson group (just like I used to, from the 3rd grade!) NUTSO. okay, and I hang out with students in various grades while they do work in the enrichment program. I finally know what PEP stands for. Port ENrichement Program.

I found that my feet are the same size as many fifth graders'. Isn't that interesting? Not very telling, though. I still stumble and walk into things.

ACK. and today??? I hung out with Kindergarteners. Go-lly. It's so cool that kids at different developmental stages are ALL in the same building every school day. I'm noticing the differen ways that students in different grades are treated and are expected to behave. I'm definitely having fun seeing things from the perspective of the students. :)

that's all fer now. I dunno how to talk about Urbana on here. But it'd be delightful to talk about it.

weak end

actually, i had a very nice weekend. I couldn't have planned on having so much fun. :)

we had our Christmas party Friday in rhoads. singing caroles and catching up with some bryn mawr women was just the way to begin the weekend.

i went to the student dance performance at Swat, and there was good drumming. .  .  and we got to on stage and dance too.

then we stopped by for some jerk chicken at haverford's african carribean event in the multicultural center. that was goo-ood. it was most fun cuz I ran into bryn mawr friends on the swat van, and followed them to haverford. then we went to a middle eastern event in the campus center.

yep. shameless bouncin from party to party.
except this was all between 4 and 8.

Saturday was a trip too.

assignments wait now. hope my brain's up for it! the end is near. phewey. i still haven't really spent a day in philly. what a shame. duude. well... maybe for ellay's bday.

today, we sang Christmas tunes with words from a bible study worksheet. it was funny, and the kids were about to rap.. but i think they lost interest when i initiated. HA.

i like laptops. took one out from canaday library. and it's pretty snazzzzzzzzy.
